This lovely handmade, century old, unusually simple, Coptic Christian cross symbolizes the four gospels in its four arms and the axis is the unity of earth with heaven. The cross is made from a Maria Theresa thaler (coin). Maria Theresa was the only female ruler of the Hapsburg dominions coins (thaler) were sought after and trusted for their purity of silver in trade routes.
